Dear People,
Some of you have started sending me your responses to the second daily that you chose to work with. Thank you! I look forward to seeing more of what you’ve been learning and demonstrating.
Don’t waste any time feeling badly if you haven’t yet sent your response to the first daily you have worked with. Don’t even worry if you didn’t get started on that first daily.
"... the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard. And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way. Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise. And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive. So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny. But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny. And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house, Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day. But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny? Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee. Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?” (Matt. 20:1–16 the)
When you get to the kingdom of heaven, you’re there and there are no second class citizens in God’s kingdom.
For those of you who have been working consistently with the assignment, you have your reward in the relief, the joy, the surety, the spiritual growth, and the blessing that has been yours and which you’ve been able to share. For those who haven’t yet arrived at the vineyard, remember, your employment is valued, you are God’s laborers - your real identity is in the service of Truth and Love.
Mrs. Eddy tells us: "The great difficulty lies in ignorance of what God is. ... Life, Truth, and Love make man undying. Immortal Mind, governing all, must be acknowledged as supreme in the physical realm, so-called, as well as in the spiritual.” (SH 427:21–22, 22 Life)
The carnal mind occupies it self with straining at gnats while it swallows whole the camel of a Godless universe. Now really is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. Now is the time to get real!
On the first day of Primary Class, I was told, “Christian Scientists are the people whose God is All-in-all”. Any lesser starting point for our work is neither Christian, nor Scientific. Every problem we think we are struggling with is just an expression of this willful resistance to the All-in-allness of God. The Dailies are how we overcome that.
Do pick any one Mrs. Eddy’s recommended daily activities and begin your work. Don’t hesitate to call should you need support.
